I am MOST DEFINITELY eating healthy! Honestly, I love food so dang much, there is no way I could ever starve myself. I am too likely to give in to temptation and all of that delaying of gratification would result in me clearing out an entire Sweet Factory - or at least one of every ice cream pint at my local Safeway.
110 is really more of a guideline - I weighed about 108 in high school (my hardcore wushu/track & field days) and it really wasn’t all that teeny for me - probably because of my height. Standing at 4’11,” every single pound shows more on me than it would on a taller person.
But if I am really feeling great around 115 and have some solid abs and muscles to show for it, then I’ll definitely stop there. Cuz you’re right - it’s not about being skinny - it’s about being healthy!

So I’m ashamed to say that I’ve been doing a little bit of yo-yoing and am right back to my post-holiday weight. But obviously, I’d be crazy to think that if I’m doing the same thing over and over again, that I’d be getting different results. The past couple weeks, I haven’t been eating as healthily as I could because I’d give myself excuses about finals and work and stress - I do that whole “HEY - I worked hard - I DESERVE THIS.” But ultimately, I’m harming myself - I should really start thinking about it this way: I deserve to NOT have that fatty food - whether it’s a side of fries or a huge platter of mac n cheese or whatever - because I DESERVE TO LOOK AWESOMER and to BE HEALTHIER.”
It’s time to make a change to the rut I’m currently in. I haven’t exercised because I haven’t had the time between work and school, but it can’t be an optional thing anymore.
So….starting Monday, I’m waking up at 6:00 am every MWF to go to 6:30 am hot yoga classes. This needs to become part of my daily routine.

Hi there, Anonymous! Generally, it’s been solely concentrated in my belly area - that’s where I notice the most changes. I don’t think I have really seen too much of a decrease in other areas of my body since I tend to collect fat in my lower belly so there wasn’t really as much to lose in other places.
Obviously, everyone’s body is different. It’s totally possible for you to be very muscular in one area and not so muscular in another. Plus, things like your curves also depend on a variety of genetic factors.
I posted a little while ago about “body types” - you could definitely read a little bit about that and then see what workouts would work best for your body!
From what friends have told me, long-distance running tends to shed pounds all over your body (i.e. you might loose a bit of boobage) so different workouts do different things. However, there’s definitely a limit to what you can target. If you are working out one thing in your body, more than likely, other muscles are working in tandem.
